From my family to yours, we are wishing you a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving Holiday. Hope that you will have the opportunity to safely spend some time with your loved ones whether in person or from a virtual platform.
In our household, we will have my mom over for a socially distance appropriate celebration for Thanksgiving and for Nathaniel’s 1st birthday. Can you believe it? Our little man is turning 1 on Tuesday!! Already a year since our little guy came out into this world and what a year it has been. The pandemic has been crazy for everyone, but one thing that I am so grateful for is that it allowed Nelson the opportunity to work from home everyday and spend even more time with the family. With Jenevera, he had to go back to work after a few weeks and although he spent as much time as he could with her after work and on weekends, he couldn’t see many of her firsts because he was in the office. With his company having everyone work from home now, he’s be able to spend so much more time with the kids and that has been a wonderful blessing and experience.
For Nathaniel’s first birthday, my goal is to make a cake – the design, will be a surprise LOL
I am a littler nervous as I will be working with chocolate for the first time so it should be an interesting experience. Last week, it was Nelson’s birthday and he insisted on making his own birthday cake with Jenevera from start to finish. Nelson is even newer to baking than I am so it was an absolutely hilarious experience!
Two words…Marshmallow fondant
Yep. He tried to make marshmallow fondant and ohhhh what a mess that was. In the end, it all worked out and his cake was delish with a very fitting design! That aside, I must admit that it was the process was the most memorable. That’s one of the things that I love the most about well, life…the journey is often more important than the destination. The cake, as I said turned out tasty but the memories that he made with Jenevera that day will last a lifetime
As I mentioned in my last newsletter, my team and I are running our very first virtual Breast Cancer Walk! Our launch went well and will be continuing to run the event for the rest of the month on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/groups/thedancingavonlady) . We will be having videos, testimonials, facts and live events. We launched our biggest fundraiser of the year where 100% of the net proceeds will be going to support breast cancer.
The group is on facebook and called Million Steps for Hope (http://www.facebook.com/groups/millionstepsforhope) . Please join us to support and help spread awareness.
Our goal is to sell 222 units of our Pink Hope Hand Cream where 100% of the net proceeds will be donated to the cause. Your purchase of $4.50 will make a difference in someone’s life. Get one for yourself or use these as a meaningful stocking stuffers.
