With the requirement to mask wearing in public places in today’s world, the makeup world is shifting more and more to eye makeup and highlighting your eyes. Let’s be honest though, often powder makeup can be really messy with flecks of colour falling on your cheek and smearing etc. Fantastic and simple solution is the creation of liquid eyeshadow!

Liquid shadow is an easy-to-use, single swipe, last all day product and ours is blendable! The texture usually isn’t as thick as cream shadows and it goes on smooth and with a few pat pat pats you can be done with your shadow and move on with your day. Ours is fitted with an easy-use doe foot applicator and what I typically do is swipe and just blend with my fingers. If I want to blend 2 shades together to give a gentle smoky feel, I usually apply a little on the back of my hand and then use either a mini brush, apply and then blend with a blending brush or use my ring finger to pat pat pat.

Another tip is to use a primer. I sometimes use our Cashmere Complexion concealer, set it with the cashmere powder foundation and then apply the Glimmershadow. I’ve noticed that even without using a prime This. Shadow. Lasts. all day!
If you want a more saturated and bolder look, swipe on a second layer for more intensity

Good morning!

Hope that this newsletter finds you well. It’s already the end of September and Jenevera just finished her first full week of online learning. It’s been an interesting experience so far. overall she enjoys it but definitely the first few days were full of kinks that needed to be ironed out. I believe currently there are about 27 students in her virtual class and boy oh boy I give props to the teacher as she is so incredibly patient with her students.

Things seem smoother now and the students are actually quite well behaved, muting when they should and sharing when it’s their turn. Their teacher is also working hard to update features to make it more Grade 1 appropriate. One of the most memorable moments must have been where the task for the students was to leave the meeting room, click on the apps button, find the word “classroom”, scroll down to where it says “language” and then etc etc. To an adult or an older student, it may seem not an issue at all. but to a group of 5-6 year-olds this may be a bit of a challenge especially if they JUST learned how to use a computer over the summer. One of the J’s little classmates raises her hand, teacher asks her to unmute and she goes…”uh…Ms. K….I can’t read.”

That made both Nelson and I giggle. Amendments were made and the students seem to be navigating the virtual classroom much easier now.

NOW! for some really exciting big news! My team and I are running our very first virtual Breast Cancer Walk! We are actually having a soft launch today and will be running the event for an entire month on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/groups/thedancingavonlady) . We will be having videos, testimonials, facts and live events. We will also be launching our biggest fundraiser of the year where 100% of the net proceeds will be going to support breast cancer.
