Our First Visit to King Cole

Jenevera loves shopping for groceries just as much as I do and it’s been almost a year and a half since we’ve gone out together as a family. Nelson suggested we head out and visit King Cole which specializes in duck, from farm to fork. We initially thought that we would be able to see some of the ducks or the hatchery but turns out the only thing that was accessible to the public was their boutique.

The store itself was gorgeous. The building was surrounded by open air and incredible landscaping that had me thinking I was at a chalet for a brief moment. Once inside, the store was beautifully open, clean and we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of products they carry! The entire ambiance was really warm and inviting with the earthy wood-toned accents and décor.

The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. Being that not everything is fully opened yet, we weren’t able to experience the entire facility in its full glory, but none-the-less it was a fun and wonderful little outing.

We ended up purchasing a whole duck, some legs and an assortment of sauces. We really lucked out as they had a one day promotion which included a free tray of duck eggs with our qualifying purchase. As promised, everything turned out incredibly delicious! We never thought that we could cook duck ourselves and have it taste SO good!

If you ever find yourself north of Toronto and you love duck, be sure to visit King Cole Duck to enjoy some duckingly delicious treats from ready duck dinners to cook-it-yourself. PS they also have

Until next time! xo’s ~
