A few weeks back I wrote about the importance of exfoliating and what are some of the different types of facial exfoliators that are available. At that time I had already purchased the Isa Knox Anew Clinical Collagen Booster(TM) Microneedling Polisher but I was still experiencing some pretty bad acne flare ups so I figured it would probably be best for me to wait until my skin calmed down before testing this new product.
Now that I seemed to have it under control, I couldn’t wait out this exfoliator that made it into the 2021 Chatelaine Beauty List.
According to Avon, clinical results from the Microneedling Polisher showed that in 2 weeks, the look of wrinkles appear significantly diminished and the skin looked firmer and more elastic. It’s also suggested to use this 2-3 times a week as part of your evening routine since your skin may appear more flushed after use. If you’re new to exfoliating, I would personally suggest to start off using it once a week and work your way up to twice a week. In addition, it’s important to remember when exfoliating use your finger tips to apply and massage and not a facial pad or the palms of your hands.
The three main ingredients for this the Microneedling Polisher include:
| Perlite | Helps stimulate skin’s natural regenerating process to support collagen production and lessen the look of fine lines and wrinkles. |
| Aluminum Oxide Crystals | Removes dead skin cells and clears pores, for smoother, luminous looking skin. |
| Diamond Powder | Stimulates cell turnover on skin’s surface and enhances absorption of serums and moisturizers. |
Upon first application, I was a bit surprised how thick the product was but was really happy with the fact that it did not have any added fragrance. I first tested it off on the back of my hand and when I rinsed it off it felt like satin was dripping off my hands. It was luxurious!
I couldn’t wait to experience it on my face next. At first I tested it on 1/2 my face just so that I could share the difference between the side I washed with water versus the side that I exfoliated with the polisher. I was very impressed.
